Anger

It sneaks up and boils your insides

Makes right seem wrong

Everything good seem bad

The world is ending and only you can save it

But you don’t want to

Because you’re hateful, spiteful, angry inside

Anger is an ugly thing

Nothing goes right, nothing can go right

Everything that is said or done is wrong

Fuel to the fire

Hopeless and lost

Inferno of emotions

All negative, none redeeming

Roiling in the heat, more kindling to the fire

Bigger and bigger

Let it consume it all.

But in reality

All you’re waiting is for a strong enough wave

To put out that fire

Calm your insides

Smooth the burning hurt and hate and hunger

The hunger for someone to save the world – the world you wanted to burst into flames
